Day 1: Transfer from Entebbe / Kampala to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
Your 5 Days Mgahinga Gorilla Park safari begins with an early morning pick-up from Entebbe International Airport or your hotel in Kampala. You will meet your professional driver-guide from Superfine Safaris Limited and begin the scenic drive to southwestern Uganda. The 8-10 hours journey passes through rolling countryside, local towns, and farmlands, with an en-route stop at the Equator crossing for photography and refreshments. Lunch is enjoyed along the way before continuing through the beautiful Kigezi Highlands, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Africa.”

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You will then set off into the forest to track the Nyakagezi gorilla family. Gorilla trekking in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is known for its open terrain and stunning volcanic scenery. The trek can take between 2 to 6 hours depending on the gorillas’ location. Once found, you are allowed one unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat.
After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. The afternoon is spent at leisure, allowing you to recover from the trek and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
