The 6 Days Uganda safari offers a combination of thrilling primate adventures and wildlife encounters in the spectacular savannas. On this ultimate 6-day safari in Uganda, expect to witness the massive mountain gorillas & chimpanzees in the jungle, the Big game in the savanna grassland including the tree-climbing lions.

This itinerary includes special experiences such as chimpanzee tracking, lion tracking, launch cruise, game drives, mountain gorilla trekking, and canoeing excursions. The key places to visit include Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kibale National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, and Lake Bunyonyi. Your trip will begin and end in Entebbe city.

Day 1: Pickup from Hotel – Transfer to Kibale

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pickup from Hotel – Transfer to Kibale

At the comfort of your hotel in Entebbe City, expect to have an early breakfast and later, meet your safari guide from Uganda. Today marks the official start of your journey to explore Ugandan enriching Parks. First, you will be briefed about the 6 Days Uganda safari and then you board a classic 4×4 tourist vehicle. Leave Entebbe city for Kibale National Park, the Primate Capital of the World and this will involve navigating through Kampala-Mityana-Mubende-Fort Portal-Kamwenge route.

Expect to spend about 6 hours to reach Kibale and en route, there will be a chance to make a stopover at Fort Portal for lunch. After the leisurely lunch, proceed to the respective

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP

Enjoy a hefty breakfast at the lodge and after, you will be transferred to Kanyanchu Visitor Centre to get briefed on the guidelines. The briefing session will be led by the official from Kibale National Park. You will be assigned to an experienced guide to take you on the actual search for a habituated chimpanzee community.

Expect to set off for the actual search for chimpanzees at around 8:00 am. The Kibale chimp trek will run for 2 to 4 hours and includes an hour for you to take pictures and also observe how chimps behave. Kibale chimp trek gets you exposed to more than chimps. Other primates you may come across include the grey-cheeked mangabeys, blue monkeys, olive baboons, l’hoest monkeys, red-colobus monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys.Chimpaanzee trekking in Kibale Forest

Return to enjoy lunch after up close with chimpanzees. Have a leisurely lunch then later in the afternoon, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. En route to Queen Elizabeth Park, expect to make a stopover at the Equator crossing at Kikorongo.

Day 3: Lion tracking – Launch cruise along the Kazinga channel

Enjoy a delicious cup of tea/coffee and after, expect to proceed to Kasenyi Plains to engage in lion tracking. Lion tracking involves searching for lions, observe their behaviors. It is mostly conducted by researchers and essentials for this unique experience include radio collars and radiation locators. These are used to help locate lions in their hiding.

6 Days Uganda gorillas safariAfter tracking lions, expect to return to have lunch and some refreshments. Leave your respective accommodation for a launch/boat cruise excursion along the Kasenyi Channel. On a boat cruise, you will have clear views of hippos, crocodiles, and many aquatic species of birds.

Day 4: Ishasha tree climbing lions – Transfer to Bwindi National Park

Get up early in the morning to enjoy a cup of tea/coffee at the lodge. Today, you will depart from Kasenyi side for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey to Bwindi includes a stopover at the Ishasha sector for a short game drive. Along the Ishasha, you will a chance to spot the tree-climbing lions plus other wildlife & birds.

After the en-route game drive at the Ishasha, you will proceed to have a delicious lunch then connect to Bwindi. At Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, you will have great moment at the lodge, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 5: Mountain gorilla trekking – Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Wake up early morning to have a hefty breakfast. Leave the lodge thereafter to join the park official and other guests on briefing session at Bwindi park offices. During the briefing, you will have insight into the gorilla trekking regulations and allocation of gorilla families.

Expect to spend about 2-6 hours in the forest as you look for mountain gorillas.6 Days Uganda gorillas & wildlife safari On locating a group of these apes, you will spend a maximum of 1 hour face-to-face and photography. After the great encounter with gorillas, you will get back to have a leisurely lunch break and gorilla trekking certificate.

Later in the afternoon, you will be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi to have the rest of the evening. At the scenic shores of Lake Bunyonyi or lodge, enjoy the breathtaking views as you reflect on the extensive gorilla trekking adventure.

Day 6: Canoeing – Transfer to Entebbe for departure

At leisure, have a delicious breakfast. Later, proceed with a canoe ride along Lake Bunyonyi. Expect to connect to some of the lush islands and after, you will meet the driver guide set for your return journey to Entebbe.
