Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park

You will drive off from your Hotel or airport very early and head to Kibale National Park Known for its high concentration of primates. The 5-6 hours’ journey takes you through the beautiful countryside of Uganda, enjoying scenic views of the unmatched landscapes. On arrival, you will check in at the lodge, have lunch and rest. Launch an afternoon walk into the forest to explore Bigodi swamp to catch up with a variety of flora and fauna. You will also have an opportunity to watch several primates as you walk through the dense forest. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking & Bigodi wetland Walk

After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will drive to the starting to meet other visitors and be guided on the rules for chimpanzee trekking together. The guides will then lead you to the forest to begin the search for habituated chimps in their natural habitat. 5 Days Uganda Primates safariThe trek rewards you with an encounter with nature as you have an encounter with nature. After a few hours trekking in the forest, you will meet the chimpanzees in a large group under the leadership of an alpha male. The natural behavior is not affected by the presence of the visitors because they are used to the presence of humans. Spend a full hour with them and later return to the starting point to meet your guide to go for your lunch. You will spend the rest of the day in a nature walk in the Bigodi wetland area to catch up with other primates like the colobus monkeys and birds, among others species. Retire at the Lodge for relaxation and dinner in the evening.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi

After a tasty breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable forest-the home of mountain Gorillas. The amazing landscapes of this village side of Uganda and the interactions with people will leave lasting memories of this entire trip. The journey takes you through the borders of Queen Elizabeth National Park and soon after several hours of traveling, you will arrive at your destination. Check in at the lodge, relax as you watch the sunset in the middle of the jungle. Dinner and overnight will be at your accommodation.  

Day 4:  Mountain Gorilla trekking

Start your day with a tasty breakfast at the lodge and immediately be on the road with your driver to the briefing point where other guests will be gathered. The rangers guide you on the dos and don’ts of the Gorilla trekking experience before leading you to the forest to search for them. After several hours of trekking into the high mountains of Bwindi, you will meet these forest giants in a group feeding, playing and sometimes resting after feeding. The major role of the silverback is to protect the group from intruders. The guides will share this and more about Gorillas with you and this will happen for a whole hour in the presence of the Gorillas. After this experience, you will return to the starting point for a certificate of participation in the conservation of the Gorillas. Drive back to your lodge for lunch and launch a community visit to have an interaction with the locals and to learn about their ways of life. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge.

Day 5: Drive back to Entebbe

Breakfast will be served very early to allow you set off early for Kampala. There will be a stopover at Igongo Cultural Center for lunch and a cultural encounter. Proceed to Kampala or Entebbe for your final flight.
