With 15 Days Uganda safari, expect to enjoy the best of gorilla trekking, chimpanzee treks, game drives, rhino tracking, boat cruises/rides, nature walks, and cultural encounters all guided by Superfine Safaris Limited. The Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up from Hotel – Rhino trekking with Zziwa expert –Travel to Gulu

You will meet with the Superfine safari guide after breakfast, and you will be briefed about the 15 Days Uganda safari. Today starts with a visit to Kidepo Valley National Park in the Karamoja area, northwestern Uganda. Access to Kidepo will involve navigating through the Kampala-Gulu highway, and en route, you will have a stopover at Ziwa. At Ziwa, you can participate in rhino trekking, a chance to explore the rhinos in the wild. With rhinos available here, expect to have encounters of all the Big 5 game in Uganda because most Parks only have 4 members.

Day 2: Drive to Kidepo for a full-day Game drive

15 Days Uganda safariWith your stomach all full, depart for an early morning guided game drive in Kidepo. This includes navigating through the Narus section of Kidepo National Park. Along the Narus Valley, you will come across wildlife such as buffaloes, African bush elephants, zebras, buffaloes, Nubian giraffes, leopards, hyenas, oribis, elands, foxes, and others. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed in the savanna plains in Narus Valley, and you will continue with the afternoon guided game drive session.

Day 3: Visit Karamojong tribes –Transfer to Murchison Falls Game Park

After an early morning breakfast, meet the safari guide, and you will pay a visit to the Karamojong community. Expect to meet the Karamojong people, learn about their traditions, cultures, and other unusual lifestyles as nomadic pastoralists. The cultural visit to the Karamojong community is spiced with traditional dances and musical performances.

After the cultural tour, you will drive to Murchison for more wildlife encounters. Upon early arrival, you will proceed to the top of the falls for scenic viewing and photography. Later, continue to have a leisurely moment in your respective accommodation options.

Day 4: Exciting game drive with a guide–Afternoon Launch cruise on Victoria Nile

Early morning game drive in Murchison will have you exposed to the diversity of wild animals, including waterbucks, giraffes, Uganda Kobs, elephants, hartebeest, buffaloes, and bushbucks. The 2-3 hours to be spent as you explore the Northern circuit game tracks won’t leave you in regret. After the game drive, you will be at the lodge for lunch and later, join the rest of the guests for a boat ride on the Victoria Nile River. Amazing encounters await on the Victoria Nile launch cruise, including the basking Nile crocodiles, hippos, and birds.

Day 5: Transfer to Kibale National Park via Hoima to Fort Portal

Catch up with your hospitable driver guide and today, expect to be transferred to Kibale National Park –Uganda’s premier chimpanzee safari destination. You will spend about 7-8 hours to reach Kibale, and en route, there will be a chance for you to have lunch in the beautifully cool Fort Portal tourism city.

Day 6: Chimpanzee tracking with a guide- Visit Bigodi swamp

Transfer by road to Kanyanchu Visitor Center to meet the Kibale tourism warden, for you to get briefed about chimpanzee tracking regulations. The park official also takes responsibility for allocating park ranger guides to guests, and your actual chimpanzee trekking will commence at 8:00am. The chimpanzee trek in Kibale will take about 2-4 hours, and amazingly, you have an hour to observe how chimps behave.

You stand a higher chance of encountering the blue monkeys, playful olive baboons, red-tailed monkeys, l’hoest monkeys, colobus monkeys, and lots of bird species. After the captivating primate encounters, you will get back to chill in your lodges and also have lunch. At around 2:00 pm, embark on an active walk through Bigodi swamp, and this is likely to go for 2 hours. Look out for more primates, birds, and other numerous mammals.

Day 7: Travel to Queen Elizabeth NP –Enjoy a Launch cruise on the Kazinga

It is time to bid farewell to Kibale, and today, you will be heading to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Access this Park via Kasese, and en route, don’t miss a stopover at the new equator monument at Kikorongo. After leg stretching and photography at the Equator, continue to the lodge to relax and also enjoy lunch. Today’s afternoon will include a boat tour along the Kazinga Channel. At Kazinga, expect to see lots of hippos, crocodiles, and birds as well as many other wildlife.

Day 8: Kasenyi Lion tracking –Ishasha for Afternoon guided game drive

15 Days Uganda Safari AdventureLion tracking will be enjoyed along the Kasenyi Plains, along the Northern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This wildlife excursion is mainly ideal for researchers or if you want to have a deep understanding of lions’ behaviors in the wild. It combines the normal game drive and scientific research. After the rewarding lion trek, return and have a leisurely time at the lodge. Leave the Kasenyi side for Ishasha, and you will proceed with an afternoon game drive. At Ishasha, it won’t be any usual game viewing but an enriching one as you search for the tree-climbing lions.

Day 9: Game drive in Ishasha sector –Transfer to Bwindi (Rushaga)

Embark on the morning game drive through the Ishasha sector in the Southern end of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This day presents you more time to explore Ishasha, and explore more wildlife, including the tree-climbing lions, antelopes like topis, elephants, buffaloes, and warthogs. Return from the game drive and check out, or proceed from the game drive if you have already checked out. Continue to Rushaga or Nkuringo sector in the Southern side of Bwindi to have a great time in the comfortable lodge.

Day 10: Mountain gorilla trekking with ranger guide–Visit Batwa Pygmies

155 Days Uganda safari adventureVisit Rushaga for a briefing, and this should be after you have enjoyed breakfast. Meet the officials to take you through the gorilla trekking guidelines and allocation of park ranger guides, plus gorilla families. Rushaga is inhabited by the highest number of gorilla families, and you can expect to explore one with the park ranger guide accompanying you. The length of the Rushaga gorilla trek may vary from 2 to 6 hours, but this covers a special one hour for guests to observe how gorillas behave and to take their images.

Return to the park offices/briefing area, and a gorilla trekking certificate will be given to you before you go back to the lodge. At the lodge, you will enjoy lunch and later, be accompanied to the Batwa community for a cultural encounter with the Batwa pygmies.

Day 11: Golden monkey tracking from Ntebeko

Report to Ntebeko, where you can find the park official for a briefing. Today, you will learn more about golden monkey tracking guidelines. Start the actual trek through Mgahinga at around 8:00 am, and the focus will be to find golden monkeys. Upon finding these unique primates, you will be allowed to stay with them for a maximum of 1 hour. After tracking golden monkeys, return to enjoy the rest of the time at the lodge.

Day 12: Travel to Lake Bunyonyi –Enjoy canoeing plus Island tour

Pick up at your respective lodges and today in the morning, you will connect to Lake Bunyonyi- the deepest Lake in Uganda. Located in Southwestern Uganda, Lake Bunyonyi contains 29 islands, including the historical Punishment Island. Expect to embark on a canoe ride along this charming, fresh lake with a local guide. The local guide is knowledgeable about the lake and expect an enriching experience and great views of the islands.

Day 13: Lake Mburo –Boat ride –Night game drive with ranger guide

15 Days Uganda safariWake up early so that you can organize yourself and also have breakfast. Check out and then start your road trip to Lake Mburo National Park in Kiruhura. At Lake Mburo, you will embark on a boat cruise to spot the Park’s aquatic species like hippos, crocodiles, and birds. Return and have some relaxation, then proceed for the night game drive in the game track known for nocturnal game viewing.

Day 14: Nature walk in the park or game drive –Depart to Kampala

Enjoy a hefty breakfast and later, expect to embark on either a nature walk or game drive. Today’s morning excursions allow you to catch up with the early risers as they become active. Later, expect to exit Lake Mburo National Park for Kampala. Drive through the Masaka route, and a short stopover will be made at Kayabwe Equator crossing.

Day 15: Kampala city tour & departure

After breakfast, you will embark on a Kampala city tour. Explore iconic sites in the vibrant Kampala Capital, including Kasubi tombs, museum, and if time allows, you may proceed to Namugongo Martyrs shrine. After the city tour, you will be transferred to Entebbe to catch up with a late afternoon flight, and this marks the end of the 15 Days Uganda safari.
