Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe
Welcome to Uganda! You will meet your private safari guide outside the Airport building for a transfer to the Hotel, where you will spend the rest of the day unwinding and settling in. Dinner and overnight at Protea Hotel Entebbe (Executive Suite- luxury), Boma Guesthouse (midrange), and 2 Friends Guesthouse (budget)
Day 2: Entebbe- Queen Elizabeth National Park
Meet your private guide in the morning for a briefing and head out to Queen Elizabeth National Park, as your first honeymoon destination. Drive through the Mityana-Mubende-Fort Portal road, stopping at Fort Portal for a local lunch. Continue to Kasese and finally Queen Elizabeth National Park for the start of your honeymoon adventure. Arrive by late afternoon, then settle in for a well-earned rest and start your next day’s adventure.

Day 3: Queen Elizabeth Game drive and boat ride on Kazinga Channel
Today is a full day of Queen Elizabeth adventures, so prepare your safari spirit and mood. Start the day with an early pick-up (6:00 am to be precise), then transfer to the Park for a game drive. Spend the next 3-4 hours searching for the Park’s lions, leopards, Elephants, buffalo, Uganda Kobs, Topis, Defassa waterbucks, Hippos, and countless other creatures. Return to the Lodge for a well-deserved breakfast and lunch.
After lunch, you will continue on your Queen Elizabeth National Park adventure with a boat ride on the Kazinga Channel to catch sightings of many different wildlife species that visit the banks, such as elephants, buffalo, and antelopes, as well as those that reside in the waters, such as Hippos and Nile crocodiles. Expect lots of birds, totaling 100 species, during the 2-hour boat ride.
Return to your Lodge to enjoy the grounds and be prepared for your final dinner in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Most of the accommodation options chosen make it possible to take a dip in the pool or sip wine in the Lodge. So enjoy!

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park- Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha sector
Say goodbye to Queen Elizabeth National Park as you head to your next honeymoon destination, which is the ultimate gorilla trekking destination. About 2 hours south of the Park, you will stop at Ishasha sector for a brief game drive with a hope of sighting the tree-climbing lions, followed by lunch at Simba Cafe. Continue with the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, to relax and prepare yourself for the next day’s adventure. Day 5: Bwindi Gorilla trekking adventure and optional village tour
On the 5th day of your 8-day Uganda honeymoon getaway, you will have the chance to get up close and personal with the endangered mountain gorillas in the wild. The 321 square kilometer Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is home to almost half the World’s mountain gorilla population, and although not guaranteed, sightings are likely.
Spend the first 30 minutes on a briefing, followed by 1-6 hours of tracking/searching for the Giant Apes. This is climaxed by a one-hour encounter to watch, take photos, and learn about their extraordinary human-like behavior. Given the location of the mountain gorillas, a packed lunch is recommended.
A proper and hot lunch awaits at the Lodge. In the afternoon, you have an option of relaxing at the Lodge or going on a village tour guided by a local guide who is a member of the community.

Day 6: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest – Dinner Cruise at Lake Bunyonyi

Start the day with a morning Lodge pick-up, then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for the remainder of your Honeymoon getaway. En-route, you will enjoy views of the rolling hills, Virunga Volcanoes, and terraced gardens. Check in and settle in at the Lodge, then go the romantic sunset dinner cruise on the shores the calm waters of Lake Bunyonyi.
