Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Sipi Falls – Arabic coffee experience
In the morning, get yourselves ready and start the journey to Sipi Falls, located in Kapchorwa district in eastern Uganda. The drive takes roughly 4-5 hours, taking you through different towns, Mabira forest, crossing the Jinja Nile Bridge, and via tea and plantation farms. Arrive in the afternoon, check into the hotel, and refresh. You will then go to visit local communities for a coffee exploration experience. Visit coffee farms where you will be guided through the whole process of making coffee, right from the garden to the cup. Local people will also entertain you with their traditional songs and dances, welcoming you to their communities. Dinner and overnight at your hotel
Day 2: Three fall hiking, Abseiling & Community tours
Have an early morning breakfast and set out for the real adventure, hiking to all three Sipi Falls. Dressed in sturdy hiking boots, hike up, navigating through a network of trails via farmland and small villages. The hike takes between 4-5 hours, with some sections so muddy and changing to trek through. The first fall to visit is the Ngasire Falls, which is the highest, dropping down a cliff 80 meters. The top of the falls rewards with stunning views of the local communities and green coffee farms. The 2nd falls is the samba falls, which is the smallest, measuring 65 meters.
Getting up close this fall rewards you with a unique feeling of the cool mist as you listen to the roar of the waters flowing. The final and most famous is the Sipi Falls, which plunges 100 meters. On this hike, you stand in a small cave behind the curtain of the waters, giving you magical views of the falls. In the afternoon, go for the abseiling adventure down the cliff face of the main waterfall. The experience entails descending long the roaring cascade, an experience you can never forget. In the evening, you can again visit local communities for a more cultural immersion. Dinner and overnight at the lodge
Day 3: Optional caving, quad biking & departure
Today morning, engage in different optional activities around the falls. These include visiting the nearby cave, mountain biking, and bird watching, among others. Refresh at the lodge, check out, and embark on a drive back to Kampala
