Day 1: Arrive in Uganda (Entebbe)

Welcome to Uganda! This spectacular gem of a country is a renowned treasure trove and wildlife lover’s place to be, a haven to some of the World’s only remaining havens for the endangered mountain gorillas. Also, here is the incredible Kibale Forest National Park, the Primate Capital of the World, with over 13 species to look out for. Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your private safari driver will be waiting for you outside the Airport building for a transfer to your Hotel.

Day 2: Drive to Kibale Forest National Park

Rise and shine! Have breakfast and get picked up from your Hotel by the safari driver for a drive to western Uganda, to the country’s most popular chimpanzee trekking destination. This 79500-hectare Protected Area may only be the 6th largest National Park in the country, but there’s no shortage of thrilling wildlife here. It is Uganda’s finest chimpanzee trekking destination, as there are almost 1500 of the country’s 5000 chimpanzees in the Park. You will make stops along the way for photography, lunch (in Fort Portal), and a final stop at the Amabere ga Nyinamwiru site for the cultural tour of the site.

Day 3: Kibale Forest chimpanzee tracking and afternoon tour of Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary

Wake up early for your official first exploration of Kibale Forest National Park. The early start leads towards the Kanyanchu Visitor Center for a briefing on the rules and regulations to be followed while tracking and spending time in their presence. You will be tracking mankind’s closest relatives in the animal Kingdom.

These playful Great Apes are fun to watch as they forage, play, rest, and fight in tree branches. In the afternoon, you will explore Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary through the well-maintained boardwalks that run through the papyrus wetlands. Day 4: Road transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Queen Elizabeth National Park

On this day, you will head to Uganda’s premier gorilla trekking destination, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Day 5: Bwindi Forest Gorilla trekking experience and Batwa cultural tour

Getting up close and personal with the endangered mountain gorillas is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, as only an estimated 1080 of them remain in the wild. A team of seasoned Rangers and guides will accompany you on an early trek through the forest while keeping in touch with trackers who move ahead. They understand the Park and mountain gorillas that live in them. Being a strenuous adventure, physical fitness is required to walk for 2-6 hours through the thick vegetation and mountain slopes while searching for them, then spend one hour in their presence.

In the afternoon, you will have a guided tour through the Batwa community to learn about their ancient hunter-gatherer lifestyle, use of sticks to make fire, honey harvesting through the forest, Bamboo cup-making, and other activities.

Day 6: Fly from Kihihi Airstrip to Entebbe Airport, overnight

Be up early and fly to Entebbe, where you will spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure.

Day 7: Fly from Entebbe Airport to Serengeti National Park

Be up early and return to the Airport, where you will take a flight from Uganda to Serengeti Kusini Airstrip in the southern circuit of Serengeti National Park. This flight departs on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays and from the airstrip, transfers to the Lodge/Camp where you will stay the next three nights. You will have a free afternoon, which you will spend at leisure, like sipping wine and relaxing in the comfort of the Camp/Lodge.

Day 8: Serengeti Hot air balloon safari and evening game drive

Day 9: Serengeti Game drives and cultural tour

For this day, you will traverse across the Serengeti National Park plains on two adventures (game drive and cultural encounter). Day 10: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Today, you will say goodbye to the sweeping plains of Serengeti National Park and drive south to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This 828800-hectare UNESCO World Heritage Site has a Crater covering about 600 meters and is a renowned wildlife viewing site.
