Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Uganda (Entebbe)
Welcome to Uganda! This spectacular gem of a country is a renowned treasure trove and wildlife lover’s place to be, a haven to some of the World’s only remaining havens for the endangered mountain gorillas. Also, here is the incredible Kibale Forest National Park, the Primate Capital of the World, with over 13 species to look out for. Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your private safari driver will be waiting for you outside the Airport building for a transfer to your Hotel.

Day 2: Drive to Kibale Forest National Park
Rise and shine! Have breakfast and get picked up from your Hotel by the safari driver for a drive to western Uganda, to the country’s most popular chimpanzee trekking destination. This 79500-hectare Protected Area may only be the 6th largest National Park in the country, but there’s no shortage of thrilling wildlife here. It is Uganda’s finest chimpanzee trekking destination, as there are almost 1500 of the country’s 5000 chimpanzees in the Park. You will make stops along the way for photography, lunch (in Fort Portal), and a final stop at the Amabere ga Nyinamwiru site for the cultural tour of the site.

Day 3: Kibale Forest chimpanzee tracking and afternoon tour of Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary
Wake up early for your official first exploration of Kibale Forest National Park. The early start leads towards the Kanyanchu Visitor Center for a briefing on the rules and regulations to be followed while tracking and spending time in their presence. You will be tracking mankind’s closest relatives in the animal Kingdom.
These playful Great Apes are fun to watch as they forage, play, rest, and fight in tree branches. The seasoned Ranger guides will introduce you to these 
Great Apes that inhabit the rainforest, and while at it, you will come across several primate and bird species. After 1-3 hours of searching, spend 60 minutes in their presence, then stop for lunch at the Lodge or nearby Tinker’s homestay for a Ugandan traditional meal.
In the afternoon, you will explore Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary through the well-maintained boardwalks that run through the papyrus wetlands. There are over 8 primate species and about 200 bird species, some of which will be sighted during the two-hour walk. A proper dinner and overnight waits at the Lodge.

Day 4: Road transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Queen Elizabeth National Park
On this day, you will head to Uganda’s premier gorilla trekking destination, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This 32100-hectare Protected Area has almost half the World’s population of mountain gorillas in the wild and its four trekking sectors shelter more than 25 habituated gorilla families.
En route to your next safari destination, you will stop at Ishasha sector for a short game drive with the hope of sighting tree-climbing lions and other wildlife species found here. After a delicious meal at Simba Café, you will proceed to the Lodge for overnight and dinner.

Day 5: Bwindi Forest Gorilla trekking experience and Batwa cultural tour
On the 5th day of your 15-day Uganda & Tanzania Honeymoon safari, you will have the experience of a lifetime! Getting up close and personal with the endangered mountain gorillas is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, as only an estimated 1080 of them remain in the wild. The chance to view them within 7 meters, sharing their daily routines, and witnessing their thrilling behavior is an experience you won’t forget soon.
A team of seasoned Rangers and guides will accompany you on an early trek through the forest while keeping in touch with trackers who move ahead. They understand the Park and mountain gorillas that live in them. Being a strenuous adventure, physical fitness is required to walk for 2-6 hours through the thick vegetation and mountain slopes while searching for them, then spend one hour in their presence.
In the afternoon, you will have a guided tour through the Batwa community to learn about their ancient hunter-gatherer lifestyle, use of sticks to make fire, honey harvesting through the forest, Bamboo cup-making, and other activities.

Day 6: Fly from Kihihi Airstrip to Entebbe Airport, overnight
Be up early and fly to Entebbe, where you will spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure.

Day 7: Fly from Entebbe Airport to Serengeti National Park
Be up early and return to the Airport, where you will take a flight from Uganda to Serengeti Kusini Airstrip in the southern circuit of Serengeti National Park. This flight departs on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays and from the airstrip, transfers to the Lodge/Camp where you will stay the next three nights. You will have a free afternoon, which you will spend at leisure, like sipping wine and relaxing in the comfort of the Camp/Lodge.

Day 8: Serengeti Hot air balloon safari and evening game drive
On the 8th day of a 15-day Uganda & Tanzania Honeymoon safari, you will experience Serengeti from a different perspective, high in the air in a basket. This experience is a hot air balloon tour that starts early and goes over varying landscapes and ecosystems. This experience lasts one hour and is climaxed with a sumptuous bush breakfast.
Spend the rest of the day relaxing until evening, where you will embark on a game drive with the hope of sighting lions, leopards, Masai giraffes, elephants, warthogs, buffaloes, Topis, warthogs, Olive baboons, and many others.

Day 9: Serengeti Game drives and cultural tour
For this day, you will traverse across the Serengeti National Park plains on two adventures (game drive and cultural encounter). This increases the chances of spotting more Serengeti wildlife that includes Big Five game (Rhinos, Leopards, Lions, buffaloes, and elephants), alongside Masai giraffes, Topis, Rock hyraxes, vervet monkeys, impalas, kudus, Roan antelopes, Defassa waterbucks, wildebeests, zebras, Kobs, warthogs, and others.
Besides being an incredible wildlife natural habitat, Serengeti National Park is also a renowned “wildlife playground”, specifically hosting the great wildebeest migration. At the end of the 3-4-hour game drive, return to the Lodge for lunch or stop at a nice location for a picnic lunch.
In the afternoon, visit a nearby local community for an opportunity to experience the typical cultures and traditions of the people. Watch the Masai warriors tend to their animals (cattle, goats, and sheep), and learn how they live in harmony with Nature.

Day 10: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Today, you will say goodbye to the sweeping plains of Serengeti National Park and drive south to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This 828800-hectare UNESCO World Heritage Site has a Crater covering about 600 meters and is a renowned wildlife viewing site. The surrounding areas of the Crater have lush vegetation and water sources which attract thousands of Cape buffaloes, African bush elephants, giant elands, gazelles, wildebeests, zebras, spotted hyenas, Hippos, jackals, lions, leopards, cheetahs, servals, gazelle, black Rhinos, and many other wildlife species.You will witness one of the highest concentrations of wildlife over the two-day visit.

Day 11: Ngorongoro Conservation Area tour: Morning and afternoon game drives
Enjoy breakfast and head down to the base of the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day adventure, using our open-sided 4X4 safari vehicle in this spectacular safari destination. You will have enough time to spot as many species as possible, including Hippos, lions, spotted hyenas, warthogs, gazelles, leopards, cheetahs, wildebeests, jackals, Cape buffaloes, and African bush elephants, among others.
You will have breaks between the two game drives for picnic lunch and continue until evening, where you will return to the Lodge in time for dinner and overnight.

Day 12: Fly to Zanzibar, free afternoon
It is now time to trade the grasslands for the beautiful beach today, as you take the domestic flight to Zanzibar. Located on the Indian Ocean, this Island is one of the gems of Tanzania with beautiful white sand beaches and a rich history that will blow your mind. On getting to the Airport, you will be dropped off at your Hotel.

Day 13: Free Day in Zanzibar: Optional watersports and cultural tours
