Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi – City Tour

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where you are welcomed by your safari representative and transferred to your hotel. Depending on arrival time, engage in optional visits to the Giraffe centre and David Sheldrick wildlife trust to see the orphaned Elephants. Dinner and overnight at the Carnivores Restaurant

Day 2: Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, depart for Maasai Mara by road (5–6 hours). Arrive in time for lunch at your safari lodge or tented camp followed by an afternoon game drive. The Mara’s open plains are home to the Big Five and vast herds of plains game. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

Day 3: Full Day Great Migration Safari

Over 1.5 million wildebeest move between Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park and Kenya’s Maasai Mara in search of fresh grazing. The highlights of this day include Mara River crossing, large prides of Lions, cheetahs and crocodiles on the banks of Mara River.  You can have an optional sunrise hot air balloon safari for breathtaking aerial views. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge

Day 4: Another Day in Maasai Mara

Have a second full day in Masai Mara National Park allowing you a deeper exploration of different sections of the reserve. Guided game drive reward you with scenic views of wild animals such as Giraffes, Zebras, Elephants, Lions, Leopards, Hyenas and waterbucks. Enjoy picnic lunch in the bush and sunset views over the savannah. Visit the traditional Maasai Villages for cultural interaction. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge

Day 5: Maasai Mara to Kisumu (Lake Victoria Region)

After breakfast, drive towards Kisumu on the shores of Lake Victoria. This scenic journey offers views of rural Kenya and tea plantations. Dinner and overnight at Kisumu

Day 6: Fly to Entebbe

After breakfast, transfer to Kenyatta International Airport and transfer to catch your flight to Entebbe.  Spend the erst of the evening relaxing at your hotel on the shores of the Lake Victoria. Dinner and overnight at Sienna Beach Hotel

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, embark on 8-9 hours drive to Bwindi Forest National Park. The scenic drive take you through different local communities, towns, farms and banana plantations. Have a stop at the Uganda Equator and have an enroute lunch.  Arrive at your forest lodge with views over the jungle canopy. Dinner and overnight at Bakiga Lodge

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

13 Days Kenya & Uganda wildlife safariHave a hefty morning breakfast and then transfer to the park headquarters for briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You will be assigned to a habituated gorilla family and begin your trek through dense rainforest. Trek duration ranges from 2 to 6 hours depending on the gorilla group location. Once seen, you will spend one magical hour observing the gorillas watching silverbacks, mothers, and playful juveniles in their natural habitat. Later on, hie down, receive your trekking certificate and transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight at Bakiga Lodge

Day 9: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Ishasha sector, famous for tree-climbing lions. Afternoon game drive en route to your lodge.  You can have an optional evening game drive to catch-up with wild animals actively feeding before night rests. Dinner and overnight at Enganzi Lodge

Day 10: Game Safari & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Early today, go for morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains to see various wild animals such as Elephants, Buffaloes, Lions, Uganda kob and Hyenas among others.  In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. This area boasts one of Africa’s highest concentrations of hippos and numerous water birds. Overnight in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Dinner and overnight Enganzi Lodge

Day 11: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Day 12: Return to Entebbe

Drive back to Entebbe with enroute stop at the Uganda Equator. Enjoy a relaxed evening by Lake Victoria. Dinner  and overnight at Sienna Beach Hotel

Day 13: Departure

Transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight home, marking the end of your 13-day Kenya Wildebeest Migration and Uganda Gorilla Trekking safari.
