Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up from Entebbe International Airport & transfer to the hotel

Expect to meet your safari guide upon arrival at the Entebbe International Airport (EBB). You will exit Entebbe Airport early and proceed to the hotel for relaxation. A short briefing will be conducted by our expert, providing highlights of your Uganda and Tanzania combo tour. After, you will have the rest of the evening at the comfort of your hotel in Entebbe city.

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Uganda

Have an early morning breakfast, and after, meet your driver guide for briefing about today’s journey and the entire itinerary. Today, you will be heading to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which lies in the Southwestern end of Uganda. Your road trip to Bwindi will run for about 8-9 hours and comes with amazing stopovers at sites like the Equator crossing for you to enjoy photography.

En route lunch break will also be enjoyed at the Igongo Cultural Center, then you have a final journey up to Bwindi while you appreciate the spectacular landscape characterized by misty hills. Upon arrival, you will check in your respective lodges to relax and organize yourself for the next day’s adventure.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking & Batwa Pygmies

Your day will start with early briefing at the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park offices. It will be during the briefing that you will get to know the dos and don’ts. You will also use this period to hire porters to help you with heavy luggage. It will be around this period when you will be allocated the park ranger guide and gorilla family.

The actual visit to see gorillas starts at around 8:00 am and expect to take at least 2-6 hours. This includes an hour for you to enjoy a face-to-face with a family of mountain gorillas and also taking pictures or videos. Once this session is done, begin walking back and at the park offices, you will have a gorilla trekking certificate. From the park offices, continue to your lodge for relaxation and enjoy a lunch break.

Your day will end with the Batwa community visit. At the Batwa community, expect to have a thrilling cultural experience encompassing great musical/traditional dances, storytelling, fire-making demonstration, and more. You will get back to relax at your respective accommodation.

Day 4: Return flight to Entebbe & connect to Arusha town

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and today, your driver guide will pick you up. Drive to Kihihi or Kisoro Airstrip. Depart with the morning flight run by Aero Link to Entebbe International Airport, where you will have a connecting flight to Arusha in Tanzania. From Arusha, you will meet your Tanzania guide for transfer to the hotel.

Day 5: Drive to Serengeti from Arusha –Evening game drive

Have a hot cup of tea/coffee and after, you will be picked up by your Tanzania tour guide from your respective hotels in Arusha. Today, you will head to Serengeti National Park one of the premier destinations in Tanzania and East Africa. Getting to the Serengeti takes about 6-7 hours and comes with breathtaking views of the countryside. Upon arrival, you will continue to your respective accommodation to relax and have lunch.

An evening game drive will follow, where you will embark on a search for some of the diverse wildlife in Serengeti National Park. The diverse wildlife to expect to see include predators, especially leopards, lions, hyenas, plus zebras, gazelles, wildebeest, giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, and birds.

Day 6: Full-day game drive in Serengeti

Wake up early morning to have a sumptuous breakfast at the lodge. Afterwards, meet the driver guide set for your sunrise game drive. Today, you will embark on a full-day game drive through the Serengeti National Park and expect to move with a packed lunch. The morning game viewing allows you spot the diversity of early morning risers then your day will end with an afternoon session.

Overall, you stand a chance to see the Big 5 game, giraffes, elands, gazelles, hyenas, buffaloes, cheetahs, and, depending on the season, you may observe the wildebeest migration. Expect to get back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 7: Departure

After a hefty breakfast, you will be picked up at the lodge or camp. Today, you will check out of the lodge and then meet your driver to be transferred to Arusha. As you exit Serengeti, you may have views of early risers as they begin their day. Proceed to Arusha to be dropped off to the hotel or airport for departure.
