Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Departure from Spain
Your journey begins with departure from Madrid or Barcelona on an international overnight flight to Uganda. Average travel time is 12–16 hours depending on connection. During your flight, prepare for a dramatic change in scenery from Europe to equatorial Africa.
Day 2: Arrival in Entebbe
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a professional driver-guide from Superfine Safaris Limited. Have an airport meet and greet and then a private transfer to your hotel. Depending on the arrival time you can just relax at the hotel or engage in any optional activity in Entebbe. Day 3: Scenic Transfer to Kibale Forest Region
After breakfast, begin your 5-6 hours scenic drive journey westward toward Uganda’s primate capital. The drive takes you through lush countryside, tea plantations, traditional rural villages, crater lakes and rolling hills. Have an enroute lunch stop in Fort portal before proceeding to Kibale Forest National Park. Dinner and overnight at Chimpanzee Forest Lodge/ Crater Safari Lodge
Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest & Bigodi wetland walk
After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a pre-trek briefing. At 8: 00am, start the hike into the forest searching for the endangered primates. You will be guided by the Uganda Wildlife Authority Rangers and the trekking time is between 2-4 hours . Spend an hour observing chimpanzees once located . Other primates to see include red colobus monkeys, black-and-white colobus, forest birds The sounds of chimpanzees calling through the forest canopy create an unforgettable atmosphere. In the afternoon, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a nature walk. Dinner and overnight at Chimpanzee Forest Lodge/ Crater Safari Lodge
Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, drive south to Uganda’s most diverse savannah park. The 3-4 hours drive reward you with vews of crater lakes, Rwenzori mountain range, local communities and towns . Arrive in Queen Elizabeth National Park in time for lunch. Later o, go for n optinal evening game drive to see wild animals such as Elephants, Buffaloes, Uganda kob and Warthogs. Dinner and overnight at Engazi Lodge
Day 6: Game viewing & Boat Cruise
Early today, go for guided game viewing experience for the best wildlife viewing opportunities. Expect to see various wild animals such as Lions, Hyenas, Leopards, Elephants , waterbucks, warthogs and Buffalso among others. Return to the lodge for breakfast and relax waiting for lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a boat cruise at kazinga channel rewarding you with close encounters with various wild animals and birds Hippos. The boat cruise provides excellent photography opportunities and a relaxing contrast to game drives. Dinner and overnight at the lodge
Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi
After breakfast, travel south toward Uganda’s mountainous rainforest. You may pass through the Ishasha sector, known for its tree-climbing lions (seasonal sightings). Spend the erst of the day relaxing at the lodge waiting for the next days gorilla trekking adventure. Dinner and overnight at Bakiga Lodge
Day 8: Mountain Gorilla Trekking
Wake early for breakfast and transfer to park headquarters for briefing. You will be allocated one of the 20 gorilla families that live in this dense forest. The trek start at 8:00am lasting for between 2 -6 hours. You will be allowed one hour with the gorillas as you observe the Silverbacks dominating the family, mothers care for the infants and juveniles keep the family lively. In the afternoon if time allows, visit the batwa local communities to learn and experience their traditions, norms and customs. Dinner and overnight at Bakiga Lodge
Day 9: Return to Entebbe
After breakfast, begin your return journey to Entebbe. Have an enroute lunch and proceed to Entebbe arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Sienna Beach Hotel/2 Friends Hotel
Day 10: Mabamba Birding & Departure
Very early today have breakfast and go for birding at Mabamba wetland. Enjoy the scenic views of the iconic shoebill stork and other birds which live there. Return to the lodge, refresh and drive to the airport for your departure flight
