Day 1: Depart from Arusha town for Serengeti

A short briefing will be conducted by your Tanzania safari guide. It is during this session that you will have highlights of today’s journey. Expect to depart from Arusha town and today you will be visiting the stunning Serengeti National Park which is found in the Northern tourist circuit. Driving to Serengeti may take about 6 to 7 hours and expect to enjoy the countryside breathtaking rift valley escarpments and savanna plains.

Arrive in the vast Serengeti National Park early and get a warm welcome from the park’s diverse wildlife, birds, and the endless plains. Serengeti is a UNESCO Heritage Site and extends up to 14,763 sq. km consisting of varied habitats where a huge profusion of wildlife resides.

Serengeti National Park is most popular for its rich ecosystem, home to diverse wildlife including all the Big 5 game. The Park is also most famous for the Great Migration which offers visitors a chance to witness millions of wildebeests as they move together with 1000s of other grazers, especially zebras and gazelles.

Your full day safari in Serengeti will get you exposed to the abundance of the Park’s wildlife including rhinos, lions, leopards, giraffes, cheetahs, hyenas, zebras, and countless antelope families.

The long day excursion involves racing across the plains of Serengeti in a 4×4 safari car as you search for rare and exotic species. A lunch break will be had and later, you will proceed with the last phase in the afternoon.

Day 3: Transfer by road to Ngorongoro

After breakfast, expect to continue with a short game drive through the Serengeti plains then connect to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Ngorongoro also features on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites and its landscape is largely composed of woodlands, grassland, and other landforms. En route to Ngorongoro, expect to pay a visit to the Olduvai Gorge for you to explore more about the historical findings of Dr. Louis & Mary Leakey.

At Ngorongoro, you will proceed with a guided game drive along the Crater base. On a game drive, you will be amazed by great sights of diverse wildlife including giraffes, elephants, buffalo, rhinos, leopards, zebras, and cheetahs, etc. You will return to have a leisurely time at the lodge/camp.

A diverse wildlife will be spotted both during the morning and afternoon game viewing sessions. They include the Big 5, antelopes like waterbucks, gazelles, & wildebeest; hippos, hyenas, and zebras.
