Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Your unforgettable 5 days gorilla safari begins with a pick-up from either Entebbe International Airport, Kampala, or Kigali International Airport, depending on your preferred arrival point. If travelling from Entebbe or Kampala, enjoy a picturesque drive through Uganda’s countryside, passing tea estates, banana plantations, Ankole cattle farms, vibrant local markets, and rolling hills. A stop at the Equator provides an opportunity for photographs and refreshments before continuing southwest through the beautiful Kigezi Highlands.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi
Wake up early for breakfast before heading to the Uganda Wildlife Authority headquarters for registration and a detailed gorilla trekking briefing. Rangers explain gorilla trekking regulations, safety guidelines, and conservation efforts before allocating each group a habituated gorilla family.
Accompanied by experienced ranger guides and trackers, venture into Bwindi’s dense rainforest in search of your assigned gorilla family. The trek can take anywhere between one and six hours depending on the movement of the gorillas, but every step through this UNESCO World Heritage Site is filled with spectacular scenery, birds, butterflies, and forest wildlife.
The highlight comes when you finally encounter the gorillas. Spend one magical hour observing these gentle giants as they feed, groom one another, care for their young, and interact naturally in their forest home. Watching the dominant silverback protect his family is a truly unforgettable experience.
