Detailed Itinerary
At 4:00 am, the driver guide representing Superfine Safaris will pick you up from Kigali International Airport or your hotel for a day’s gorilla visit. After the meet and greet, start off the drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in northwestern Uganda to catch the pre-gorilla trekking briefing at Kinigi Park headquarters. The drive time from Kigali to Volcanoes is 2-3 hours. Together with other travelers present, gather at Kinigi headquarters for registration, briefing, and gorilla family allocation. Local dancers will entertain you with their traditional songs and dances as a gesture to welcome you into their homeland.
At 8:0am, the ranger guide will lead you into the dense forests searching for the endangered gorillas. The trek is undoubtedly strenuous, and the actual time is unpredictable. However, you are 99% sure of meeting gorillas at the end of the trek. On a good day, you can meet other wild animals such as golden monkeys, forest elephants, colobus monkeys, and several birds on your trek to see gorillas.
