Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Entebbe, Uganda

Welcome to Uganda! Upon arrival in Uganda at Entebbe International Airport, our Airport representative will meet and greet you, and hand over your luggage to a private guide for a transfer to your accommodation. This is where you will spend one night, and the drive from the Airport to the Hotel takes about 10-15 minutes.

Accommodation at: Protea Entebbe (Executive Suites- Luxury), Boma Guesthouse (midrange), or Papyrus Guesthouse (budget).

Meal Plan: Depends on arrival time.

Day 2: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

In the morning, meet your private safari guide at the Hotel Lounge, pack your bags into the jeep, and start the 7-hour journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On the way, you will stop from time to time to take in breathtaking views or have lunch. Upon arrival at the Lodge, you will have time to unwind and cool off in the large swimming pool while preparing for the next day’s adventures.

Day 3: Game viewing and launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel

10 Days Honeymoon safari in Uganda & RwandaOn this day, you will wake up just before dawn to set off on a game drive, which begins with the riveting sight of the sun rising over the National Park. The cooler early morning temperatures bring heightened wildlife activity, hence a wonderful time to keep an eye out for the Big game- lions, leopards, elephants, Buffaloes, Defassa waterbucks, Hippos, and many others. As you drive through the Park, keep an eye up for the numerous bird species flying overhead. Stop for a picnic breakfast midway and continue with the game drive, and 4 hours later, return to the Lodge to relax.

The afternoon boat cruise is done along the Kazinga Channel, and while on it, keep your eyes peeled for the giant Hippos and Nile crocodiles basking along the banks as you make your way through the calm waters and close to the swampy areas. Disembark after 3 hours of cruising and return to the Lodge, where you will relax on your private porch/veranda with a sundowner.

Day 4: Connect to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

There’s so much to see as you wind through the stunning plains, woodlands, forests, and pass settlements and villages on their day-to-day routines. There will be a brief stop at Ishasha sector for a game drive with the hope of sighting the tree-climbing lions and Simba Café for lunch, before continuing to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Day 5: Bwindi gorilla trekking tour and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Meet your private guide for a transfer to the Park Headquarters, then start briefing about trekking guidelines and the Park’s conservation efforts. Later, set off down the muddy path through the jungle to search for the allocated gorilla family, and the time taken to find them depends on their location.

When you finally find them, stand at a distance (7 meters away) and watch, photograph, and learn about their daily routines- foraging, resting, playing, and grooming each other in their natural habitat. You will be allowed to spend one hour with them, and when it is time, retreat to the Park entrance along the same path. A hot delicious lunch awaits you at the Lodge. After lunch, pack your bags and begin the transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, where you will spend two nights.
