Day 1: Transfer from Nairobi City to Maasai Mara National Reserve

Have a delicious breakfast and after, your experienced Kenyan guide will be present to take you through the itinerary. Get insights on what your day will be like and later, you will be expected to have all your luggage packed in a 4×4 safari vehicle. Today’s departure journey will start early enough and you will be setting off from the heart of Nairobi City.

Driving from Nairobi to the Maasai Mara National Reserve is expected to take you about 6 to 7 hours. Your journey comes with an en route scenic stopover at the Great Rift Valley –appreciate the breathtaking escarpments in the countryside. Expect to reach Masai Mara early and proceed to check in your pre-booked accommodation where you will be served lunch.

After the lunch break, you will have the best of the afternoon game drive which marks your first game viewing session. Expect to encounter a range of wildlife as they become more active in the evenings. Later, you will drive back to have great moments at the lodge as you wait for a full-day game viewing the following day.

Get up early to organize yourself and later meet the driver guide. Early in the morning, you will depart from your camp or lodge for a full-day game viewing session in the vast savanna plains in Masai Mara National Reserve. Expect to spot early morning risers as they start their day.

A wide array of wildlife will be spotted during today’s game drive. Masai Mara is most popular for wildlife species such as African bush elephants, spotted hyenas, impalas, buffaloes, cheetahs, lions, warthogs, giraffes, warthogs, leopards, and zebras, etc.

The Great Migration is Masai Mara National Reserve’s iconic attraction but timing is essential for you to witness this world spectacle.
