Day 1: Pick up, city tour, and transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park

Arrive at Kigali International, where the driver guide from Superfine Safaris Limited will be waiting for you. Go for a city tour in Kigali to visit the Kigali genocide memorial site and Kimironko market, where you meet and interact with local people. Thereafter, drive south westwards to Nyungwe Forest National park, home to the endangered chimpanzees, birds, and other primates. Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and canopy walk

Have a well-prepared breakfast and with a packed lunch, transfer to Cyamudongo Visitor Information Centre for registrations and guidelines on the regulations of chimpanzee trekking. At 8:00 am, begin the trek uphill to see endangered chimpanzees. The Nyungwe forest is home to the highest population of chimpanzees in Rwanda, birds, and several primates. The trek can take between 30 minutes and over 5 hours, depending on where the chimpanzees will be located that day. The trek is an opportunity to meet other wild animals in this rainforest.

Spend an hour with chimpanzees, learn about their lifestyles, and enjoy the magical encounter with your close relatives. Return to the lodge for refreshment, and in the afternoon, embark on the memorable canopy walk as you walk on the suspended bridge 70 meters above the forest.  The walk rewards you with great aerial views of Nyungwe Forest, Virunga Volcanoes, local communities and farms. The canopy walk is also best for photography and scenic viewing. Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 3: Departure
