Detailed 12-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Juba – Safari Briefing

Arrive in Juba where you will be welcomed by your guide from Superfine Safaris Limited.  You will have a brief introduction n this safari and what to expect altogether.  You will the transfer to your hotel in Juba for dinner and overnight

Day 2: Transfer to Mundari Territory

Depart Juba and drive to the Mundari regions along the Nile. Enjoy the scenic countryside views best for photography.  Arrival at traditional cattle camp and settle at your camp near Mundari community

Day 3: Mundari Cultural Experience

12 Days South Sudan Cultural ExperienceHave a hefty breakfast and spend this full day with the Mundari people. The experiences for today include observing cattle camp life and traditions, witnessing ash rituals used for cattle care and sunset photography with long-horned cattle among others. The Mundari old men and women also share their interesting stories, traditions, customs and beliefs which all tell you more about their unique tribe

Day 4: Deeper Immersion with the Mundari

This is another day for deeper interaction and storytelling with the Mundari cattle keepers.  The activities for this day include early morning cattle movements, cultural exchange and community interactions. You will get a chance to learn about social strictures and traditions that make these people an exceptional tribe. Overnight at your camp

Day 5: Transfer to Dinka Regions

Have a morning breakfast at the camp and begin the travel to the Dinka territories, known for their rich pastoral culture. Enjoy this scenic drive across rural communities of South Sudan introducing you to the Dinka lifestyle. Overnight stay at the Community camp or lodge

Day 6: Dinka Cultural Exploration

12Days South Sudan Cultural ExperienceToday you will experience life among the Dinka people, one of the popular tribes in South Sudan. The highlights of the day include visiting the cattle camps and villages, learning about traditional customs and ceremonies and also engaging with local families

Day 7: Journey to Lopit Hills

Have relaxed breakfast at your camp, check out and drive to the Lopit region, located in a more mountainous landscape. This journey include changing scenery from plains to hills introducing you to the Lopit traditions. Overnight at the camp

Overnight: Eco-camp or lodge

Day 8: Lopit Cultural Experience

Spend a full day with the Lopit community. The activities done today include traditional dances, story telling, village walks and interactions with local people who share their traditions, norms, beliefs and customs. Engage in some of their cultural practice and learn about their farming skills. Dinner and overnight at the Camp

Day 9: Transfer to Buya Territory

Continue your journey to the remote Buya region enjoying this remote travel experience.

Overnight: Community camp

Day 10: Buya Cultural Immersion

12days South Sudan Cultural ExperienceToday you visit the Buya community and the uniqueness of these people. The village visit to the Buya people is a chance to learn their daily lives, cultural exchange and storytelling. You will also have a photography opportunity with local people dancing singing and performing their traditional practices. Dinner and overnight at the camp

Day 11: Visit the Lotuko Tribe

Travel to meet the Lotuko people, known for their distinct cultural identity. Enjoy a deeper interaction with this one of South Sudan’s lesser-visited tribes learning about unique traditions and lifestyles. Learn about these people’s daily lifestyles, traditions, norms, customs and the beliefs that make them a distinct tribe worth visiting. Dinner and overnight at your camp

Day 12: Return to Juba & Departure

This is the last day of our 12 Days South Sudan cultural experience. Have breakfast, check out and return to Juba for departure.
