Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park – Bigodi Nature Walk

The driver guide from Engagi Safaris will pick you up from either your hotel or Entebbe International Airport for a transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.  Embark on a journey to Kibale National Park lasting for around 5-6 hours. Arrive in the afternoon, check in at your lodge, and refresh. In the evening, go for a nature walk in Bigodi Wetland to see primates and birds. Dinner and overnight at Chimpanzee Forest Lodge

Day 2:  Chimpanzee trekking & transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Today you rise up early, have breakfast, and transfer to Kanyanchu visitor information centre for registration and a briefing on the dos and don’ts of chimpanzee trekking. At 8:00 am, start the hike into the forests searching for man’s close relatives. Enjoy an encounter with chimpanzees, embrace their humanly social behaviours and take many photos for remembrance. Return to the lodge for early lunch, check out and drive to Lake Bunyonyi/. Dinner and overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Rock resort

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi & transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

This is the highlight of this 4-day Uganda safari. After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing at 7:00 am. The gorilla trek can last anywhere from 2 to 8 hours, depending on the location of the gorilla family. Once you find them, you are permitted to spend one hour observing and photographing the gorillas. The experience is widely considered unforgettable. Keep distance, with your voices low and capture the best moments of this magical encounter! You will later drive back to Lake Bunyonyi and spend the evening chilling on the shores of the beautiful Lake

Day 4: Return to Kampala or Entebbe

After breakfast, you begin the long drive back to the capital. The journey often includes a stop at the Uganda Equator for photos and souvenir shopping, before continuing on to your hotel or Entebbe International Airport for your departure.
