Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Uganda – Entebbe

Upon arrival at Entebbe International airport, you will be welcomed by the driver guide from Superfine Safaris Limited,  Have a brief introduction on the 30 Days safari and transfer to your hotel in Entebbe for dinner and overnight

Day 2: Buganda Kingdom & Kampala City Experience

Drive to Kampala, Uganda’s capital. Visit the Buganda Royal heritage sites, traditional markets and crafts and enjoy the cultural storytelling session about Uganda’s kingdoms

Day 3: Transfer to Eastern Uganda – Ssezibwa & Jinja

Travel eastward with stops at spiritual and cultural landmarks. Visit Ssezibwa cultural site and oral traditions, learn about Basoga culture and in the enjoy the evening cultural dance performance. Overnight in Jinja.

Day 4: Busoga Culture & Nile Communities

Spend time with local communities along the Nile. Engage in village walks, traditional fishing practices and local cuisine preparation experience. Overnight in Jinja.

Day 5: Transfer to Western Uganda – Ankole Region

Have a relaxed breakfast, check out and embark on a scenic drive through rural Uganda. The cultural experiences here include Ankole long-horn cattle culture, traditional homestead visit, milk processing and cattle-keeping traditions. Dinner and overnight in Mbarara

Day 6: Batwa Cultural Experience near Bwindi

Travel to the forest communities near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Enjoy Batwa pygmy cultural experience learning and experiencing their traditional forest lives and forest survival storytelling. More so, enjoy traditional songs and dances. Dinner and overnight at Bakiga Lodge

Day 7: Kigezi Highlands & Local Life

Have a relaxed breakfast and explore terraced hills and rural communities. The local experiences include village walks, banana beer brewering and traditional farming practices among others

Day 8: Lake Bunyonyi Cultural Encounters

Visit island communities on Lake Bunyonyi. The boat tour to the Batwa communities is an opportunity to learn and experience their traditions, norms and customs,  Enjoy canoe ride with local guides, Island folklore stories and Community school visit to meet and interact with local school going children. Dinner and overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort

Day 9: Batwa Cultural Trail

30 Days Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania cultural safariAfter an early morning breakfast, go for a batwa cultural experience in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Join a guided walk into the forest to learn and experience the traditions, norms, customs and beliefs of these indigenous forest people. Some of the  activities in the Batwa cultural experience include hunting, fruit gathering, making fire and  searching for medicinal herbs.  Dinner and overnight n Kisoro

Day 10: Transfer to Rwanda – Kigali City

After morning breakfast, transfer to Kigali, the capital of Rwanda via Cyanika border. Arrive in Kigali and check into the hotel for refreshment. Have a Kigali city orientation, visit local art centres and traditional cuisine tasting. Overnight in Kigali.

Day 11: Rwanda’s History & Reconciliation

Spend this day learning about Rwanda’s History ad Reconciliation. The activities include to do include visiting the genocide memorial experience, community reconciliation village visit and enjoying storytelling by local elders. Overnight in Kigali.

Day 12: Transfer to Northern Rwanda – Cultural Villages

Drive to the Virunga region and visit the Ibyiwacu cultural village where you learn and experience Rwanda’s traditions, norms, customs and briefs. Enjoy the Intore dance performances, traditional drumming and royal customs explanations from the elders. Overnight near Musanze.

Day 13: Rural Rwandan Life Experience

Spend a full day in rural Rwanda. Some of the cultural activities to do Banana beer making, pottery and basket weaving not forgetting engaging in traditional farming. Overnight in Musanze area.

Day 14: Lake Kivu Community Experience

Transfer to Lake Kivu to experience fishing village visit, coffee washing station tour and Swahili influenced lakeside cultures. Overnight near Lake Kivu.

Day 15: Cross to Kenya

Drive to Kigali and fly or connect overland toward Kenya.

Day 16: Arrival in Kenya – Nairobi

Arrive in Nairobi, check into the hotel and refresh. Later on, have a kenya cultural orientation, visit local market and craft shops in Nairobi. Overnight in Nairobi.

Day 17: Kikuyu Cultural Experience

Have breakfast and visit Kikuyu communities outside Nairobi. Engage in traditional homestead, story telling and folklore plus indigenous food preparations. Dinner and overnight near Nairobi.

Day 18: Transfer to Maasai Land

Following an early morning relaxed breakfast, drive to the Great Rift Valley region. The cultural highlights here include Maasai village visits, warrior traditions, beadwork and cultural ceremonies. Overnight in Maasai region.

Day 19: Maasai Daily Life & Traditions

Have breakfast and travel to western Kenya towards Lake Victoria. Experience the Luo culture such as Luo fishing culture, community meals, music and story telling. Overnight near Lake Victoria.

Day 21: Lake Victoria Island Communities

Visit island communities and engage in canoe riding, traditional net fishing and cultural exchange among others. Overnight near Lake Victoria.

Day 22: Travel to Tanzania

Cross the border into northern Tanzania.

Day 23: Arrival in Northern Tanzania – Arusha

Arrive in Arusha Tanzania, have a cultural orientation and visit local markets. Dinner and overnight in Arusha

Day 24: Meru & Chagga Cultural Experiences

Today you have a relaxed breakfast and visit the surrounding communities to embrace the Meru and chagga cultural experiences. Some of the activities done include coffee farming traditions, traditional housing and local food tasting among others. Dinner and overnight near Arusha

Day 25: Hadzabe & Datoga Cultural Encounter

30 Days Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania SafariFollowing a relaxed morning breakfast, travel to Lake Eyasi region to meet, learn and interact with the Hadzabe hunt gatherer lifestyles.  Learn the ancient survival traditions of these hunters and also experience the Datoga blacksmith demonstrations. Dinner and overnight at a lodge near Lake Eyasi

Day 26: Rural Tanzania Cultural Life

Following breakfast, spend the day with farming communities in Tanzania. Enjoy observing and taking part in different cultural activities such as millet grinding story telling by Edlers and cultural dances. Dinner and overnight in northern Tanzania.

Day 27: Transfer to Coast – Swahili Culture

Have a relaxed breakfast, check out of your hotel and transfer to the aiport for your flight to the coast.

Day 28: Swahili Cultural Heritage

Today we explore the coastal Swahili traditions. The activities to do include learning the spice traditions, Swahili cooking experience, architecture and History, Dinner and overnight on the coast.

Day 29: Community & Cultural Relaxation

This is gentle final cultural day of our 30 Days cultural Safari. Enjoy beach community walks, craft making and a farewell cultural dinner . Overnight on the coast.

Day 30: Departure

Transfer to the international airport for departure.
