Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha to Ngorongoro Crater Tanzania

Expect to meet your personal Tanzania safari guide early in the morning. This will be followed by a brief introduction and insight into your travel itinerary. Later, safely board your 4×4 safari vehicle ready to travel to Ngorongoro Crater which is about a 3 to 4 hours’ drive.

Upon arrival at Ngorongoro, you will check into your lodge or safari camp where lunch will be enjoyed. Later, continue on a memorable guided game drive in the plains of Ngorongoro in a 4WD safari vehicle with a pop-up.

On a game drive, you will be amazed by encounters around the Ngorongoro Craters including zebras, rhinos, leopards, lions, buffaloes, cheetahs, gazelles, elands, impalas, waterbucks, and multiple bird species. After the game drive, return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

On arrival, meet your professional driver guide for pick up and transfer to the hotel in Kigali City. If time allows, you may continue with a short city tour in the vibrant Kigali Capital City.

Day 9: Gorilla trekking plus the Batwa community visit

Start your day with a sumptuous breakfast and later, meet your driver for pickup. You will be transferred to the Bwindi offices to meet the officials. Arrive early so you to clear with the authorities and then join the briefing session. At the park offices, you will be allocated a gorilla family group to track and a park ranger guide.

Expect to begin the actual trekking at around 8:00 am and this will take about 2 to 6 hours depending on your speed or the location of the gorillas. Once you have met a family of gorillas, you will have only 1 hour to observe closely how they behave and also take photos or videos.
