Day 2:  Golden monkey trekking & transfer Bwindi Impenetrable forest (5–6 hrs)

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking (2-8 hrs) and Batwa walk (1.5–2 hrs).

Day 4: Transfer to Ishasha for tree-climbing lions, then Queen Elizabeth – Boat Cruise July 2: Day 5: Game Drive transfer to Kibale forest.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Kigali Airport  and transfer to Volcanoes National park

Arrive at Kigali International Airport, where the driver guide representing Superfine Safaris will be waiting to pick you. Drive through Kigali City and transfer to Volcanoes National Park – a 2.5–3 hour drive.  In the evening, visit local markets to meet and interact with local people. Overnight near Volcanoes. Dinner and overnight at Kinigi Guest House (Budget), Davinci Gorilla Lodge (Midrange)/ Ingagi Park View (Luxury)

 Day 2:  Golden monkey trekking & transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest (5–6 hrs), Overnight in Bwindi

Early today, have breakfast and transfer to Kinigi Park headquarters for a briefing on the guidelines of golden monkey trekking. Enjoy an encounter with golden monkeys for an hour and hike down to meet your driver. You will then refresh and start the drive headed to Bwindi Forest National Park in Uganda.  Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Mist Camp (Budget) / Bakiga Lodge (Mid-Range) / Mahogany Springs (Luxury)

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking (2-8 hrs) and Batwa walk (1.5–2 hrs).

Wake up early for a heavy breakfast and with a packed lunch, transfer to the respective park headwaters from registration and pre-gorilla trekking briefing. At 8:00 am, start the hike to meet with the endangered gorillas. The allowed time with gorillas is strictly an hour from the time you meet them. In the evening, go for a batwa walk to meet batwa pygmies and learn about their customs, beliefs, and norms. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Mist Camp (Budget) / Bakiga Lodge (Mid-Range) / Mahogany Springs (Luxury)

Day 4: Transfer to to Queen Elizabeth National park via  shasha for tree-climbing lions, Evening Boat Cruise

After breakfast, depart from Bwindi Forest and head to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Ishasha sector.  The drive through Ishasha offers you an opportunity to see rare tree-climbing lions and other wild animals that live there. You will then proceed with a drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, check into the lodge, and refresh. In the evening, embark on a boat cruise at Kazinga Channel, rewarding you with scenic views of wild animals, birds, wild water animals and local communities. Dinner and overnight at Enganzi Lodge (Budget) / Elephant Hab Lodge (Mid-Range) / Kasenyi Safari Camp (Luxury); Full Board

Day 5: Game Drive, then transfer to Kibale forest.

Go for an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains of Queen Elizabeth excellent game viewing experience. Expect to see numerous wild animals such as Elephants. Lions. Buffaloes, Uganda kobs, Waterbucks, and warthogs, among others. Return to the lodge for a late breakfast and early lunch.  Later in the day, drive out of the park and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park. Dinner and overnight at Chimpundu Lodge (luxury), Turaco Treetops Lodge (Mid-range) / Isunga Lodge (budget): Full Board

Day 6: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi wetland walk

Have an early morning breakfast and transfer to the Kanyanchu visitor information center for a chimpanzee trekking experience. You will be registered, briefed, and allocated a chimpanzee community to visit. At 8:00am, start the actual trek searching for the chimpanzees. Spend an hour in their company, embrace their human-like behaviors, and take memorable photos. In the evening go for a nature walk in Bigodi wetland to see primates, birds and other forest animals. Dinner and overnight at the lodge (Day 5)

Have a relaxed breakfast, check out and transfer to Kampala for your departure flight
