Day 1: Arrival in Kigali & Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will meet your guide from Superfine Safaris Limited and receive a briefing about your 4 days safari. Depending on your arrival time, you may take a short city tour of Kigali, including the Kigali Genocide Memorial. Afterward, you will drive to Volcanoes National Park, located approximately 2–3 hours from Kigali. The drive offers scenic views of Rwanda’s rolling hills. Dinner and overnight at your Lodge

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
After an early breakfast, get your packed lunch and transfer to the headquarters of Volcanoes National Park for registration and briefing on the dos and donts of gorilla trekking. You will then be assigned a gorilla family and begin your trek through the forest. The trek can take between 2 and 6 hours depending on the gorillas’ movements. The allowed time with the gorillas is strictly an hour. Enjoy observing the endangered gorillas in their natural habitat watching them feed, groom, and interact. A face to face interaction with the gorillas is rated as the best wildlife experience in the wild

Day 3: Dian Fossey Hike to Karisoke Research Centre
After breakfast, embark on the Dian Fossey hike, one of the most meaningful activities in Volcanoes National Park. The hike takes you through forested slopes between Mount Karisimbi and Mount Bisoke to the site of the former Karisoke Research Center, where Dian Fossey conducted her groundbreaking research. Along the way, you may encounter golden monkeys, forest birds, and breathtaking scenery.
