The boat cruise on Kazinga channel is a great chance to see wild water animals and birds on the banks of the river. In addition, Queen Elizabeth National Park is home to the rare tree-climbing lions seen in the acacia and fig trees of Ishasha sector south of the Park. Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After an early breakfast at your lodge in Kampala, our guide from Superfine Safaris Uganda will pick your up and embark on the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park in the western side of Uganda. The journey takes you about 6-8 hours with stopovers at particular destinations for photos and a meal. Queen Elizabeth National Park is known to be one of Uganda’s largest and oldest national parks sheltering a high number of mammals and bird species. This park is also famously known for the high number of tree-climbing lions found in the Ishasha sector. After several hours enjoying the fresh air as you drive through the countryside, you will arrive at the park. Check in at the lodge, have dinner, and spend the night there.
Day 2: Game viewing and Boat cruise at Kazinga Channel
After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will set off to the park for a morning game drive in the open park to catch up with your favorite wild animals like the elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, waterbucks, lions, Uganda Kobs, topis, bushbucks, warthogs, hippopotamuses, and over 600 species of birds. Break off for lunch at the lodge and relax. Lunch a boat cruise at the renowned Kazinga channel that connects Lakes Edward and George. Enjoy watching the Nile crocodiles sunbathing and hippos swimming in the fresh waters. Several wildlife animals and birds are seen along the riverbanks feeding and relaxing. Retire at the lodge in the evening for relaxation, dinner and later spend your night there.
Day 3: En route Game drive and departure
Breakfast will be at the lodge very early and soon check out from the lodge and head to the park for an en-route game drive to catch up with your favorite animals and those you may have missed on the previous drive. Proceed to Kampala for your final flight at Entebbe airport.
