Buhoma is the most established Bwindi sector with the best lodge infrastructure — but it also has the highest lodge prices and is furthest from the Rushaga and Nkuringo sectors where the Gorilla Habituation Experience is available. If your priority is the standard gorilla trek, Buhoma is the natural choice. If you want the Habituation Experience (full-day with a gorilla family as rangers habituate them — $1,500 per person), you need Rushaga sector lodges.
