Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

You will continue through the scenic highlands of Kabale and Kisoro before arriving at your lodge near Bwindi. Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest

5 Days Uganda double gorilla safariAfter an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing by rangers from the Uganda Wildlife Authority. You will then begin your gorilla trekking adventure in Bwindi Forest, hiking through dense vegetation and steep terrain in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trekking duration varies from 2 to 6 hours depending on where the gorillas are located. Once you find the gorillas, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing them as they feed, groom, and interact. This close encounter with mountain gorillas is one of the most emotional wildlife experiences in the world.

Day 3: Transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

After breakfast, you will drive to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park located in the Virunga Mountains near the town of Kisoro. The journey takes about 2–3 hours, offering spectacular views of the Virunga volcanoes and the scenic landscapes of southwestern Uganda. Upon arrival, you can relax at the lodge or enjoy optional activities such as community visits, nature walks and visiting Lake Mutanda or Lake Mulehe. Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Mgahinga

The trek takes you through bamboo forests and volcanic terrain within the Virunga Mountains. Compared to Bwindi, Mgahinga treks are often quieter because fewer visitors trek here.
